CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2020-86
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 2020
WHEREAS, a Municipal Election was held at the General Election on Tuesday,
November 3, 2020, to vote on the offices of Mayor and two Council Members; and the official
returns of the election judges were presented; and
WHEREAS, said returns were duly examined, approved, and placed on file in the Office
of the City Clerk; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that it is hereby found, determined, and declared that the Regular Municipal Election held in and
for the City of Medina on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 was in all respects duly held and the
returns thereof have been duly canvassed, the votes cast at said election were:
MAYOR, Two-year term, beginning the first Monday of January 2021.
Kathleen M. Martin Received 2,888 Votes
Write -Ins Received 65 Votes
Undervotes Received 1,582 Votes
Overvotes Received 1 Votes
Total 4,536 Votes
COUNCIL MEMBER, Four-year term, Two Seats, beginning the first Monday of
January 2021.
Joseph Cavanaugh Received 1,811 Votes
Robin Reid Received 1,463 Votes
Peter Galzki Received 1,427 Votes
Stacia Whelan Received 962 Votes
Write -Ins Received 28 Votes
Undervotes Received 3,373 Votes
Overvotes Received 8 Votes
Total 9,072 Votes
Other election statistics include:
On November 3, 2020, there were 4.736 registered voters at 7:00 a.m. and 271 persons
registered to vote on Election Day. The total is 5.007 registered voters on Election Day.

IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DECLARED that the following candidates for the offices of
Mayor and Council Member elected at the November 3, 2020 Regular Municipal Election for the
respective terms are as follows:

COUNCIL MEMBER (4 year term) .Joseph Cavanaugh
COUNCIL MEMBER (4 year term) Robin Reid

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Anderson
and upon vote being taken thereon; the following voted in favor thereof:

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
