RESOLUTION 2003-
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary to appropriate additional
funds for the annual budget; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing, pursuant to notice published on May 30, 2003 in
the Banner Graphic, was held at the Regular Session of the Common Council of the City
of Greencastle on June 10, 2003 at 7:00 p.m.;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is
hereby appropriated out of surplus unappropriated funds for the purposes specified,
subject to the laws governing the same:

Total EDIT Funds $110,328.00

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF PROPOSED ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of the City of Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana,
that the proper legal officers being the Greencastle Common Council will consider the
following additional appropriations, in excess of the budget for the current year, June 10
2003, at City Hall, 1 North Locust Street, Greencastle, Indiana, 7:00 p.m.

Major Budget Class: 300 Other Services and Charges $ 7,500.00

Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard. The additional
appropriation as finally made will be referred to the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
I p The Board will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the
appropriation made within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action
taken.

Res Maple Berry Park-EDIT Funds
In order top be on pace for construction of the Maple-Berry Park in 2003,we need to
appropriate EDIT funds for the completion of design and start of construction.
The current EDIT plan allows$100,000.00 for this purpose and I am requesting that City
Council approve those funds.
