A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE CERTAIN PURCHASE
ORDER AGREEMENT FOR THE CITYWIDE TRAFFIC
SAFETY STUDY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER
WHEREAS, staff has identified the need to conduct a citywide traffic
safety study; and
WHEREAS, said study will identify safety deficiencies and enable the City
to implement measures to improve the safety at all public schools in the City; and
WHEREAS, Paul Singer Transportation. Engineering and Planning
possesses the experience and expertise to complete said study; and
WHEREAS, staff has estimated that said study would cost approximately
$10,000; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified available funds that can be appropriated
for said study; and
WHEREAS, City Council is committed to provide a safe environment
around schools and is desirous to pursue said study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City;of
Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. That the Director of Public works is authorized to execute a
purchase order agreement with Paul Singer Transportation Engineering and Planning
for a citywide traffic safety study.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make
the following funds appropriation and transfer:

Unappropriated General Fund
$10,000
TO
Engineering Division Account
1-4441-4220, $10, 000
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
