"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR PICKARD ARCHITECTS, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $60,000.00 FOR ADDITIONAL DESIGN WORK ON THE
r-- NATATORIUM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 5-5208, FISCAL
I YEAR 1998-99, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
CONTRACT AMENDMENT ORDER".
WHEREAS, the Natatorium Improvement Project, Project Number 5-5208 is
scheduled for completion during FY 1999-2000; and
WHEREAS, the Natatorium Improvement Project is funded by the Community
Development Block Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, a contract was awarded on March 16, 1999 to Pickard Architects for
design services in the amount of $86, 500.00; and
WHEREAS, additional design work is necessary in order to meet the minimum
recommended improvements to the natatorium; and
WHEREAS, an additional $60,000 are needed to provide the City with a
comprehensive design; and
WHEREAS, City Council approval is required for contract amendment.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Contract Amendment for Pickard Architects in the amount
of $60,000.00 be approved.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contract
Amendment between the City of Lynwood and Pickard Architects.
Section 3. This resolution shall. take effect immediately upon its adoption.
