RESOLUTION NO. 2004-1
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING OF THE
NORTHERN GREENCASTLE TOWNSHIP CORRIDOR ANNEXATION
FISCAL PLAN FROM INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
WHEREAS, Putnam County and the Edgelea Subdivision in partnership with the City of
Greencastle have engaged in a preliminary engineering study to review the sanitary and stormwater
needs of the northern 231 corridor(from the railroad viaduct to Big Walnut Creek); and
WHEREAS, Edgelea has been advised by the Putnam County Board of Health there is a
dangerously high number of failing septic systems within the subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle currently provides water and fire hydrants to Edgelea;
and
WHEREAS, the City w ill require annexation prior to the ownership, maintenance and
operation of a system serving the Northern Greencastle Township Corridor; and
WHEREAS, Greencastle will require an annexation fiscal plan prior to annexation.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE through
its Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development, pursuant to IC 36-7-13-5, hereby
approves the disbursement of Five-Thousand Dollars($5,000.00)in the preparation of a fiscal study
of the annexation of the Northern Greencastle Township Corridor.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial
Development at its regular meeting this 6th day of July 2004.
