A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CREATION OF THE INDIANAPOLIS ROAD
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA BY THE
GREENCASTLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission on February 25, 2004, reviewed the
factual report and economic development plan for the Indianapolis Road Economic Development
Area.
WHEREAS,the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission passed Resolution 2004-1,a declaratory
resolution to create the Indianapolis Road Economic Development Area.
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Plan Commission passed Resolution 2004-1 on March 22, 2004,
approving the creation of the Indianapolis Road Economic Development Area and finding the
resolution and the plan conform to the plan of development for the City of Greencastle.
WHEREAS,IC 36-7-14-41 and IC 36-7-14-16 require that the Redevelopment Commission submit
the declaratory resolution and supporting data to the Greencastle Common Council.
WHEREAS,IC 36-7-14-16 requires that the Greencastle Common Council determine whether the
resolution and the economic development plan conform to the plan of development for the City of
Greencastle.
WHEREAS,the Greencastle Common Council at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 13,2004,
did review Resolution 2004-1,the Factual Report in Support of Findings Contained in Resolution
2004-1,the Economic Development Plan for the Indianapolis Road Economic Development Area,
and Greencastle Plan Commission Resolution 2004-1.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GREENCASTLE, INDIANA THAT:
(1) The resolution and economic development plan conform to the plan of development for City
of Greencastle.
(2) The geographic area defined by the Redevelopment Commission is an economic
development area defined by IC 36-7-14-41 and outlined in the declaratory resolution.
(3) A copy of this resolution be submitted to the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission.
(4) This resolution shall be effective as of its date of adoption
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its regular meeting this 13th day
1 of April, 2004.
