RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS the Minnesota Statutes 1965, Section 471.59, authorizes two or
more governmental units, by action of their own agreement, to jointly
or cooperatively exercise any power common to the contracting parties,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Medina, Hennepin County and those other participating
communities agree to exercise cooperatively their common power of purchasing,
and
WHEREAS, it is felt that such agreement shall lead to possible monetary savings
and the savings in duplication of effort in the purchasing field, and
WHEREAS, the agrement hereto proposed and its provisions has been reviewed
by a committee composed of a representative from each of the participating
parties, and has met their approval and support,
NOW, THERiiCRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that the Mayro and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into agreement
with Hennepin County and those participating communities for the purpose of
jointly exercising their common power of purchasing.
Adopted by the City Council this day of July, 1976.
