RESOLUTION NO. 2004-
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LOAN FROM THE
CITY HALL NON-REVERTING FUND TO THE GENERAL PARK FUND
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle was awarded a reimbursable grant by the Indiana
Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand dollars
($135,000) for the construction of the People Pathways Big Walnut Sport Park Loop;
WHEREAS, IDNR requires that municipalities receiving their grants must first pay for the
construction costs before it will reimburse the municipality for those costs; and
WHEREAS, the City anticipates receiving the grant monies from the IDNR by the end of
2004.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE
Common Council authorizes the Clerk-Treasurer to borrow One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand
Dollars and no cents ($135,000) from the City Hall Non-Reverting Fund and place them in the
General Park Fund to pay for costs incurred for the construction of the People Pathways Big
Walnut Sport Park Loop. This loan will be repaid by December 31, 2004. No interest will be
paid.
