RESOLUTION NO. 04-4276
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY PROVIDING A STATEMENT OF INTENT AND SETTING FORTH
LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR THE PREPARATION OF A
NATURAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Temple City acknowledges the importance of preparing and maintaining a
Hazard Mitigation Plan as mandated by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance
Act.
SECTION 2. The City of Temple City intends to comply in all regards to this Federal mandate and
intends to complete a comprehensive Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is consistent with and
compliments the required State of California Plan as well as mitigation Plans of the neighboring jurisdictions
and other governmental and quasi - governmental entities.
SECTION 3.. The City of Temple City has retained necessary Staff to complete the mandated
Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan and has prepared a timetable for completion of this endeavor.
SECTION 4. As set forth in the Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Toolkit, the City of Temple City
intends to conduct significant public outreach and form a core group to provide oversight and to assist in
certain Plan preparation efforts.
SECTION 5. Upon completion of a draft document, it is the City's intent to conduct a noticed public
hearing to allow citizen input prior to adoption of the Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. Additionally, it is the
City's intent to monitor and review this Plan on a continuous basis in order to respond to changing
circumstances and new conditions.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in the San Gabriel Weekly, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Temple City.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of June, 2004.

04 -4276, was duly passed, approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular
meeting held on the 15th day of June, 2004 by the following vote:

NOES: Councilmember -None
