HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 04-42771 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 04-4277 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ADOPTING THE DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM GOAL FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2004 -2005 WHEREAS, local agencies applying for Federal funds must comply with all elements of Title 49, part 26 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) entiltled "participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in Department of Transportation Financial Assisted Programs; and WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will monitor local agencies' procedures to assure compliance with Title VI and Title VIII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1968, respectively; and WHEREAS, the City of Temple City receives federal funding from the Federal Highway Administration for capital improvement projects benefiting the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Temple City supports state and federal goals of non - discrimination in the awarding of contracts for capital improvement projects; and WHEREAS, as of August 2002, the City of Temple City has an adopted and approved DBE program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City of Temple City's Disadvantaged Business (DBE) Program Participation Goal of 12% for Fiscal Year 2004 -2005 is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to sign the City's DBE Program participation goal documents, and revisions. SECTION 3. The Director of Public Services is authorized to administer the terms of the DBE Program on behalf of the City. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
