"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A
CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER FOR CIVIL WORKS CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $35,000.00 FOR ADDITIONAL WORK ON THE CITY HALL PARKING LOT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 5-5148, FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000, AND
,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT CHANGE
ORDER".
1`~ WHEREAS, the City Hall Parking'Improvement Project, Project Number 5-5148 is
scheduled for completion during FY 1999-2000; and
WHEREAS, the City Hall Parking Lot Improvement Project is funded by the Revenue
Bonds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on June 23, 1999, and Civi] works Corporation,
was the lowest responsible bidder; and.
WHEREAS, additional improvements to City Hall are proposed; which can be added to
the existing contract as a contract change order;_and
WHEREAS, $35,000.00 are available in the project fund which can be used for
additional improvements; and
WHEREAS, City Council approval is required for Contract Change Orders in excess of
$50,000 or an amount greater than 20% of the original contract price.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. ' That the Contract Change Order for Civil Works Corporation in the
amount of $35,000.00 be approved.
Section 2. That tl~e City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contract
change order between the .City of Lynwood and Civil Works Corporation.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption:
