A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING A SPECIAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON NOVEMBER 2,1993, DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACES, DESIGNATING
THE REGISTRAR AND DEPUTY REGISTRARS, AND ORDERING THE CITY CLERK
TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION..
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCCALL, IDAHO, THAT:
SECTION 1 : A special election will be held in and for the
City of McCall, on the second day of November, 1993 at which time
the proposition of levying a local-option nonproperty sales tax
of 1% on all sales subject to taxation under Chapter 36, Title 63
of the Idaho Code, as permitted for resort cities under the "City
Property Tax Alternatives Act of 1978 ( Idaho Code, Title 50
chapter 10, sections 50-1043 through 50-1049) . This election
i will be conducted as a part of the general election to be held on
the same date.
SECTION 2 : The following are designated as the polling places
for such election:
McCall Precinct: American Legion Hall (lower level of City
Hall) , City Hall, 216 Park St. , McCall, ID
SECTION 3 : That Arthur J. Schmidt, City Clerk, is hereby
designated as Registrar and the following as Deputy Registrars :
Susan Davidson, 'Judi Miller, Judy Sargeant and Eileen Moon.
SECTION 4 : The Clerk, for and on behalf of the Mayor and
Council, shall give public notice of the time and place of such
special election by posting such notice in three public places or
publishing such notice in at lease two issues of the Central
Idaho Star News, a newspaper printed and published in the city of
McCall, Idaho, the first publication of such notice to be made
not less than 45 days previous to the date of such city election
and the last publication not less than fifteen days prior to the
election, the notice so published shall state the places of
registration and the name of the Registrar and the Deputy
Registrars, and the requirements for registration of electors at
such city and such other information as may be necessary to give
full facts of such election and registration, said notice to
contain such information in accordance with the requirements of
Section 50-436 of the Idaho Code.
PASSED By the Council and APPROVED By the Mayor this 9th day of
September, 1993 .
