RESOLUTION NO. 04 -4289
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
MAKING PUBLIC BENEFIT FINDINGS, APPROVING THE JOINT USE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AND THE TEMPLE
CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW
FENCING AND FELID LIGHTING AND JOINT USE OF LONGDEN SCHOOL
PLAYFIELD AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is in the best interests of the Citizens of Temple City for the
City and other governmental agencies providing services to the Citizens of Temple City to work
cooperatively, whenever possible, in providing said services; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council established its Ad -Hoc Committee with the Temple City Unified
School District to identify and recommend joint projects which benefit the Citizens of Temple City, the
City, and the District to the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Ad -Hoc Committee has concluded negotiations and recommends approval of the
"Joint Agreement Between the City of Temple City and the Temple City Unified School District for the
Construction of New Fencing and Field Lighting and Joint Use of Longden School Playfield. (Agreement)"
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the Agreement is in the best interests of the City and its
Citizens in that it improves, enhances, and expands the availability of "green space" for recreational
purposes for use by both the students of the District and the citizens of the City; and,
SECTION 2. Based upon the above public benefits, the City Council approves the Agreement
and authorizes the City Manager to execute said Agreement
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 7th day of September, 2004.

No. 04 -4289, was passed, approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a
regular meeting held on the 7th day of September, 2004 by the following vote:
