HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 21-93 Utility rates and interest on overdue accounts RESOLUTION NO. 21-93 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, RELATING TO UTILITY RATES AND INTEREST ON OVERDUE ACCOUNTS. WHEREAS Ordinance 632 first provided that the following matters be addressed by Resolution of the Council: BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of McCall that: Section 1. That the below-indicated rates and charges are set for certain aspects of the water service: Water connection, security deposit for proper doing of work by owner: $100 Fire protection services: replace seal on fire outlet: 5 minimum per service call, seal replacements: 15 missing or broken seal: 100 Unauthorized connections: 100 Water meter testing fees,if meter not malfunctioning: laboratory's test fee,plus shipping, plus $50.00. Section 2. The sum of$16.25 per month of the monthly charge to each water user shall be transferred by the City Clerk into the Water Capital Improvement Fund. Section 3. That the below-indicated rates and charges are set for certain aspects of the sewer service: Sewer Connection Charges: 1. trunk and treatment charge Single family residence $ 600 Duplex or triplex,per unit $ 600 Mobile home park,per unit $ 600 Condominiums, Townhouses and Apartments: ("gAc" means "Gross acre" which means an acre of ground including all public and private drives within the development and one-half(1/2) of the width of all bordering public streets) 4 units or less per gAc,per unit $ 600 Over 4 units to and including 7 units per gAc,per unit 600 Over 7 units to and including 10 units per gAc,per unit 700 Over 10 units to and including 13 units per gAc,per unit 800 Over 13 units per gAc,per unit 1,000 Travel trailer, motor home, truck camper,per unit parking space 500 Utility rate resolution 21-93 page 1 Commercial, Industrial, Institutional: To be fixed and determined by the City Council on the basis of equivalent single family residential units, and the determination of such equivalence shall include the volume, type and content of liquid effluent and/or industrial wastewater discharged into the sewer system. 2. Connection charge: Single family residence $ 150 Duplex or triplex,per unit 150 Fourplex and larger,per unit 150 Mobile home park,per unit 150 Condominium, townhouse and apartments,per unit 150 Commercial, Industrial,Institutional: To be fixed and determined by the City Council on a basis of equivalent single family residential unit, and the determination of such equivalence shall include the volume, type and content of liquid effluent and/or industrial wastewater discharged into the sewer system. Section 4. In that the rate of interest on overdue accounts is designed to recoup the expenses of accounting and rebilling, as well as costs of collection in extreme cases, and is intended to be a positive disincentive to deliquency, the rate of interest on overdue utility accounts is set at 1% per month, compounded.
