The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion
by Van
Deest, seconded by Huisman. Carried.
The resolution concerning the placement of a light at the town lot
on Emery Street was adopted on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by
Huisman. Roll call of votes --Ayes: Fairbanks, Huisman, Van Deest.
Nays: None Absent: Penning and Heinrich. Carried.
Fairbanks moved and Huisman seconded adjournment. CVried.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in specia�C sez'(sion on February 20,
1974, with Mayor Hippen presiding and all council members present.
Purpose of the meeting was to discuss resurfacing of Fourth
Street from the west city limits to the east city limits with a 2
inch mAt in conjunction with the Grundy County Engineer's Office.
Moved by Penning, seconded by Fairbanks to proceed with the project.
Roll call of votes --Ayes: Huisman, Heinrich, Fairbanks, Van Deest,
Penning. Nays: None. Absent: None Carried.
Moved by Huisman, seconded by Van Deest to approve the renewal of
a liquor and beer permit for Wallace Deters d/b/a Wellsburg Tap.
Carried.
There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned.
The Wellsburg Town Council met in regz'lar session on March 4, 1974,
with Mayor Hippen presiding and all councilmen present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion
by Van Deest, seconded by Fairbanks. Carried.
Fairbanks moved, Heinrich seconded acceptance of the treasurer's
report as read. Carried.
The following bills were allowed for payment on a motion by Heirr1-
rich, seconded by Huisman.

The Annual Street Finance Report as prepared by the clerk was
approved on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Penning. Carried.
The Amended Street Budget Estimate as prepared by the clerk was
approved on a motion by Penning, seconded by Van Deest. Carried.
Penning moved, Van Deest seconded the appointment of Walter Block
as swimming pool manager. Block is to receive $2.25 per hour to ready
the pool for opening and to prepare it at the close of the season.
?wring the months of June, July and August his salary is to be $500
per month. Carried.
The meeting stood adjourned on a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by
Heinrich. Carried.
