HomeMy Public PortalAbout074-2000 - Rezoning - SEC Industries Rd & Chester Blvd.ORDINANCE NO. 74-2000 AN SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF INDUSTRIES ROAD (EXTENDED) AND CHESTER BOULEVARD, RICHMOND, INDIANA WHEREAS, the Zoning Map designates and describes the property at the southeast corner of Industries Road (extended) and Chester Boulevard at as R-2 One Family Residential District; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to change the zoning designation to the Special Use District to allow the continued use of the property for medical offices, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning designation of the property described below is hereby changed to a SU Special Use District within the R-2 One Family Residential district to allow the continued use of the property for medical offices: A part of the west half of the southwest quarter of Section 21, Townsh8ip 14, Range 1 West, described as follows: Beginning at a point 1306.39 feet south of the northwest corner of said quarter section, said point being in the center of the Richmond and Newport Pike; thence running east 1320.40 feet to the east line of tract of land formerly owned by Russell Minor; thence north along said Russell Minor'’ east line 164,90 feet; thence west 910.40 feet to a point; thence south 50 feet parallel to said west line of said quarter section to a point, thence wet 410 feet to the west line of said quarter section; thence South 114.90 feet to the place of beginning, containing 4½ acres, more or less; excepting therefrom a tract described as follows; commencing at a brass plug found at the northwest corner of said quarter, thence south 00º21’19” West 1193.06 feet along the west line of said quarter, in U.S. 27, to the northwest corner of said 4.5 acres tract, being the true point of beginning for the tract herein described; thence South 89º48’28” East 45.00 feet along a northerly line of said 4.5 acre tract; thence South 00º21’19” West along a new division line, to the south line of said 4.5 acre tract; thence South 00º21’19” West along a new division line, to the south line of said 4.5 acre tract; thence North 89º48’28” West 45.00 feet along said south line, to the west line of said quarter; thence North 00º21’19” East 114.90 feet along said west line, in U.S. 27, to the point of beginning, containing 0.119 acres, more or less.
