RESOLUTION NO. 04 -4293
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AUTHORIZING CITY EMPLOYED CITY MANAGER, PUBLIC
SERVICES DIRECTOR, PUBLIC SAFETY MANAGER, PUBLIC SAFETY
SECRETARY, AND CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER POSITIONS TO
PERFORM IN A LAW ENFORCEMENT RELATED FUNCTION, WHICH
NECESSITATES ACCESS TO DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ)
CALIFORNIA LAW ENFORCEMENT TELECOMMUNICATIONS
SYSTEMS (CLETS) PROVIDED INFORMATION.
WHEREAS, the City Manager, Public Services Director, Public Safety Manager, Public Safety
Secretary, and Code Enforcement Officer, employed by the City of Temple City will be required to perform
law enforcement related functions, and
WHEREAS, there will be a need for the City Manager, Public Services Director, Public Safety
Manager, Public Safety Secretary, and Code Enforcement Officer to access information contained in the
Department of Justice California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System on a daily basis, and
WHEREAS, Section 1.5.2. of the Department of Justice California Law Enforcement
Telecommunication System Policies, Practices, and Procedures requires that access to DOJ /CLETS
systems will only be considered after the governmental agency requesting enacts a statute, ordinance, or a
regulation that authorizes its employees to perform law enforcement related functions.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve, declare, determine,
and order as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, Public Services Director, Public Safety Manager, Public Safety
Secretary, and Code Enforcement Officer employed by the City of Temple City are hereby authorized to
perform law enforcement related functions.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.

meeting held on the 21st day of September, 2004 by the following vote:
