A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING'THE INFORMAL
BIDDING PROCESS FOR THE REHABILITATION AND
REDEDICATION WORK OF THE ROSA PARKS COMMUNITY/
TRANSIT CENTER AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
.MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER
WHEREAS, the Rosa Parks Community/Transit Center (the Center) has been open to
serve the community- since 1990; and
WHEREAS, because of the daily heavy use, the Center is currently in need for certain
rehabilitation and rededication work; and
WHEREAS, said work has been estimated to cost $34,000; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified available funds that can be appropriated for this work; and
WHEREAS, said work can be more economically and expeditiously done through an
informal bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13 allows the informal bidding
process with.a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Lynwood City Council as follows:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes the informal bidding process for the rehabilitation
and rededication work for the Rosa Parks Community/Transit Center. .
Section 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the following funds
appropriation and transfer:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
