AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
APPRAISAL CONSULTING SERVICES IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE TAX ASSESSOR'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Borough IS m need of professional property tax appeal appraisal
services; and
WHEREAS, Appraisal Consultants, Inc. possesses the requisite knowledge, trammg,
experience and professional license to provide said services, and has submitted a proposal
to perfonn said services at a total cost not to exceed $20,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Appraisal Consulting, Inc. is hereby retained to provide professional
property tax appeal appraisal services at a total cost not to exceed
$20,000.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A: 11-5(1)(a) and the Borough's fair and open
process established according to law.
Adopted this 15th day of February, 2007
and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 16, 2007.
