RESOLUTION NO. 05-4319
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City is committed to the safety and welfare of its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City supports working with Los Angeles County Office of Emergency
Management; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City desires to improve the capabilities of the Emergency Operations
Center and increase the security of the City's critical facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby find, determine and resolve:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee, is hereby authorized to take all actions necessary for
the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the provisions specified in the United
States Department of Homeland Security Grant application including but not limited to the execution of
applications, contracts, agreements, amendments, and payment requests; and,
SECTION 2. The City Council expresses its support for programs to be funded by the grant, including:
the preparedness of first responders and citizens, public health, infrastructure security, and other public
safety activities; and,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of February, 2005.

4319, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of
February, 2005 by the following vote:
