A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE
HAZARD ELIMINATION SAFETY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City is committed to the safety and welfare of its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City desires to reduce the number and the severity of traffic accidents
within the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City supports improving sign visibility and reducing traffic accident
severity.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby find, determine and resolve:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee, is hereby authorized to take all actions necessary for
the purposes of securing funds and to implement and carry out the provisions specified in the Hazard
Elimination Safety Program including but not limited to the execution of applications, contracts, agreements,
amendments, and payment requests; and,
SECTION 2. The City Council expresses its support for the project to install high intensity reflective
traffic and street signage and replace rigid sign poles with breakaway type poles; and,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of March, 2005.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution, Resolution No. 05-
4325, was duly passed, approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular
meeting held on the 15th day of March, 2005 by the following vote:
