AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
CME ASSOCIATES, RE: ENGINEERING AND MAPPING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering
services in regard to engineering and mapping services related to the
redevelopment of projects within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731,
possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services
ata total cost not to exceed $3,200.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services in regard to
engineering and mapping services related to the redevelopment of projects
within the Borough, at a total cost not to exceed $3,200.00 is hereby
approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to NJ.S.A 40A:11-5(1)(a) awarded pursuant to the Borough's
Fair and Open process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and CME Associates.
Adopted this 13th day of March, 2007
and certified as a true copy of the
original on March 14,2006.

Dear Mayor Reiman:
In accordance with our discussion, we are pleased to provide this proposal for engineering
and mapping services related to the redevelopment of the Borough. It is our understanding
that you would like to create a map showing the various redevelopment areas within the
Borough for presentation purposes.
With this in mind, we believe the tasks required and fee associated with will be as follows:
· GIS base map preparation
· Coordination with Borough Planner to identify all redevelopment area limits
· Preparation of redevelopment map to graphical standards of the Borough
· Supply ten (10) copies of map and one (1) reproductive copy for Borough use
Fee for Services ......................................... ................ .............................. ....... ......... $3,200.00
The above shall include "out of pocket" expenses, however, no other additional work outside
the tasks identified.
Should you accept our fee estimate, kindly provide a purchase order or professional services
resolution authorizing same.
We would like to thank you for allowing us to present this proposal and look forward to
continue working with you in providing the professional services you require.
