° ~ APPROVING A AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN
THE' CITY OF LYNWOOD AND GRIFFIN GRANT WRITING & `
. 'CONSULTING, INC. FOR THE`PURPOSE OF PROVIDING GRANT WRITING
.. SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.

~; ° WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood is interested in applying for a variety of
{ ~ ~ , competitive grants to improve the goverping structure of the City; and '
WHEREAS, The City desires to' engage a consultant to perform the task of
seeking and. finding available grants 'that meet the City's priority needs; and.

d WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has identified Griffin Grant Writing. & .. .
Consulting, Inc. as a leader in the industry of finding and writing grants for'
municipalities; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood and Griffin Grant Writing & Consulting, Inc.
- have agreed to a twenty four month agreement for professional service for the purpose of
obtaining grant funds for the City of Lynwood ;and ~ ~.
WHEREAS, The City Council authorizes the.Cify Manager to execute the
~: agreement on behalf of the City Council; and S
.. WHEREAS, In order to proceed ,funds from the General Fund need to be
appropriated to. carry out the financial terms of this agreement. ,. -
(~` .. NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section L That tfie City: Council approves the Agreement for Professional Services
between the City~of Lynwood and GriffinGrarit Writing & Consulting, Inc.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the agreement on,behalf of the ' '
City Council. ~ - '
;.Section 3. That the City Manager is authorized to make the following fund appropriations
and transfers:
