HomeMy Public PortalAbout078-2000 - Grant - Lilly EndowmentORDINANCE NO. 78-2000 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE LILLY ENDOWMENT, INC. WHEREAS, The Lilly Endowment, Inc. has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to continue the salary of the Neighborhood Resources Coordinator for three (3) years and for the development of youth-based programs. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Lilly Endowment, Inc. to continue the salary of the Neighborhood Resources Coordinator for three (3) years and for the development of youth-based programs. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to the salary of the Neighborhood Resources Coordinator for three (3) years and for the development of youth-based programs.
