RESOLUTION NO.2005-20
COMMON COUNCIL
CITY OF GREENCASTLE,INDIANA
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF
ANDY WEATHERFORD
WHEREAS,Andy Weatherford, sophomore at Greencastle High School, has completed the 2005 regular
track season undefeated in every 1600 meter race in which he participated; and
WHEREAS,Andy won both the Putnam County and West Central Conference 1600 meter races; and
WHEREAS,Andy won the Indiana High School Athletic Association(IHSAA)Plainfield Sectional 1600
meter race with a time of 4:27:48; and
WHEREAS,Andy won the lI-ISAA West Lafayette Regional 1600 meter race in a record time of 4:17:58;
and
WHEREAS,Andy,running in the IHSAA Boys'State Track and Field Finals in Bloomington,won the 1600
meter championship in the astonishing time of 4:13:20.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
congratulates and honors Andy for his outstanding achievements. We thank him for bringing recognition to himself
and to his community.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its regular meeting this
1261 day of July 2005.
