A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN
WHETHER A NUISANCE IS OCCURRING ON CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS 12315 LONG
BEACH BL., LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA AND WHETHER
THE CITY BUSINESS LICENSE SHOULD BE REVOKED.

`° WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Lynwood has recommended
that the City Council find that the existing business is operating in such a way as to
require revocation of the City Business License; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may consider such violations, pursuant to
certain procedures set forth in Sections 3-13 and 4-9.5 of the Lynwood Municipal Code;
and '
WHEREAS, the conditions on this property that may constitute a
nuisance and justify revocation of the business license are:
1: Illicit and illegal operations are being conducted at the site.
2. ~ Said illegal operations contribute to the increase of crime within the
surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood resolves
as follows:
Section 1. Based on the above referenced facts and the
recommendation of the City Manager; this Council finds and determines that the
following described property and business may presently be maintained and operated in
such a manner as to constitute a nuisance and to justify revocation of the business license.
Such property is known as the Rocky Motel at 12315 Long Beach Bl., Lynwood,
California.
Section 2. The methods by which this nuisance could be abated
include, but are not limited to
1 t Revocation of business license # 3343 issued to Mohan Patel.
Section 3. The City Council declares its intention to conduct a public
hearing, pursuant to Sections 3-18.5 and 4-9.5 of the Lynwood Municipal Code to
determine whether the violations existing at the site merit abatement and the revocation
of the business license under the police power of the City of Lynwood.
Section 4. The City Council hereby fixes the hour of 7:30 p.m.,
August 4, 1998,. as the time. and date, and the City Council Chamber, 11330 Bullis Road,
Lynwood, as the place for said ublic hearin .

Section 5. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to notify Mr.
Mohan Patel of said complaint and the. proposed hearing date, as required under all
applicable provisions of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
