RESOLUTION NO. 9a-.IZS
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNINOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER FOR THE LYNWOOD
URBAN GREENING PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the. State of California Transportation Blue Print Legislation
created the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation (EE&M) Demonstration Program by
Statutes of 1989, Chapter 106; and
WHEREAS, said program provides~State funds to municipalities to fund
environmental projects directly or indirectly related to transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, City of Lynwood submitted the Lynwood Urban Greening
Project for the EE&M program in FY1996-97; and
WHEREAS, the California Transportation Commission approved
$120,645 of the E~E&M funds for said project; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost is estimated at $165,952, therefore
$45,307 of City's funds need to be appropriated; and
1NHEREAS, staff has identified available funds that can be used for this
project.
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby#ind,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make
the following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 2. That this resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
