AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED WAY
WHEREAS, the United Way has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Widowed Persons Service desires to submit a grant application to assist with operating expenses for the year 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The Widowed Persons Service is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the United Way to assist with operating expenses for the year 2001.
The Widowed Persons Service is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the Widowed Persons Service, shall be appropriated to assist with operating expenses for the year 2001.
Passed and adopted this 6th day of November, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
