APPROVING SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT - AFSCME LOCAL
2291, RE: SNOW REMOVAL
WHEREAS, Local 2291 AFSCME Council 73, AFL-CIO, ("Local 2291") filed
grievances on behalf of the following employees ("Employees") alleging a
violation of Article 9 of the Blue Collar Collective Bargaining Agreement ("Blue
Collar Agreement") for the purpose of recovering overtime pay allegedly due:
Sam Lugo (1/5/01)
Charles Reiman, Jr.(12/30/00; 1/21/01)
(Collectively the "Grievants"); and
WHEREAS, said grievances have initially been denied; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council and Local 2291 have reached a settlement
agreement with regard to said grievance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. The Memorandum of Agreement pertaining to the above referenced
grievance is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and appropriate Borough officials are authorized to execute
the same.
3. Annexed hereto is a copy of said agreement.
Adopted this 6th day of September 6, 2001
and certified as a true copy of the original
on September 7, 2001.
