' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENT TO CONDUCT
A PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER A
NUISANCE IS OCCURRING ON CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY° GENERALLY KNOWN AS 12721 ATLANTIC -
AVENUE, LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA. '

` WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Lynwood has recommended
that the City Council find that the existing business is operating in such a way as to-be
considered a public nuisance; and .
WHEREAS, the. City Council may consider such violations, pursuant to ' ~ .
. certain procedures set forth in Sections 3-13 and 4-9.5 of the Lynwood Municipal Code;
and
WHEREAS, the .conditions ' on this property that may constitute a
I nuisance are:,
' . 1. Illegal operations are being conducted at the site. •
. 2. Said illegal operations contribute to the increase of .crime .within the r
surrounding-area.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood resolves' .
as follows:

.~ Section 1. Based on the above referenced facts .and the ,
recommendation of the City Manager, this Council finds and determines ~ that the '
- ,following. described property and business may presently be maintained •and operated in .
such. a manner as to constitute a nuisance. Such property is known as 12721 Atlantic
Avenue, Lynwood, California. ,
Section 2. The City Council declares its intention to conduct a public

hearin ursuant to "Sections 3-18.5 and 4-9:5 of the Lynwood Municipal Code to
- ,determine whether the violations existing at the site merit abatement. .
Section 3. The City Council hereby fixes. the hour of 7:30 p.m., _
August 18, 1998, as the time and date, and the City Council Chamber, 11330 Bullis
Road,, Lynwood, as the place for said public hearing. -
Section 4. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to notify Mr, G.
' T. Le of said complaint and the proposed hearing date, as required under all applicable
provisions of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
