RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 1
RESOLUTION DECLARING OFFICIAL INTENT TO PURCHASE
PROPERTY FOR EASTSIDE WATERWORKS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle has determined that it is desirable to provide additional
water sources to supplement the current Greencastle Water supply;
WHEREAS, the City has determined that there is appropriate land available approximately one
mile northeast of Greencastle, more particularly described as:
Along the east side of CR 100 E. in the W1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 11, Township 14
North, Range 4 West, Greencastle Township, Putnam County; and containing in all
approximately 6.7 acres.
WHEREAS, two appraisals have been completed of the properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle
that the City of Greencastle hereby declares its official intent to purchase the above described
property for no more than the average of the two appraisals. The Board further delegates
authority to sign all necessary documents to negotiate and effectuate this acquisition to the
Greencastle Board of Public Works and Safety.4.SSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana, this
