A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF REQUEST FOR GRANT
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Greencastle is committed to provide
clean air, clean streets and storm sewers free of debris for the citizens of Greencastle;
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle is in need of two mechanical leaf vacuums; and
WHEREAS, the due to financial restraints, the City is in need of financial assistance for
the purpose of purchasing the mechanical leaf vacuums;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE
Common Council apply to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM),
Indiana Recycling and Household Hazardous Waste Grant Program for a grant in the amount of
$22,873.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Greencastle shall match said grant sums so
that a mechanical leaf vacuum may be purchased. The Greencastle Board of Public Works and
Safety shall be authorized to execute any Grant Applications in order to comply with the Indiana
Department of Environmental Management Grant Program.
