HomeMy Public PortalAbout1978-008Member introduced the following resolution and moved it's adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 7,- f RESOLUTION ORDERING THE RAZING AND REMOVAL OF HAZARDOUS BUILDINGS ON REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT WILLOW DRIVE AND PIONEER TRAIL WITHIN THE CITY OF MEDINA WHEREAS, Albert B. Yngve and Thomas E. Reiersgord and John Doe are the owners of real estate legally described on Exhibit A which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference; and WHEREAS, Charles Hoover, Chief of Police of the City of Medina has made an inspection of the subject property and has found it in extremely dilap- idated, hazardous, and dangerous condition; that the property is abandoned and the buildings thereon are open to trespassers and others who might wish to make entry; that the property is strewn with various appliances, utensils, equipment and other personal property which is hazardous and dangerous to life and health; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that Albert B. Yngve and Thomas E. Reiersgord and John Doe, their heirs and assigns, are hereby ordered to raze and remove all hazardous buildings, equipment and conditions from the premises legally described on Exhibit A here- of, said action being taken pursuant to Chapter 463 of Minnesota Statutes on the ground that the said buildings, equipment and conditions are hazardous to public safety, welfare and health, within the meaning of Minnesota Statute 463.15 and 463.25; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Albert B. Yngve and Thomas E. Reiersgord and John Doe, their heirs and assigns, must either comply with this order within twenty (20) days from the date of service thereof upon them or within twenty(20) days therefrom file an answer thereto, or a motion for the summary enforcement of this order will be taken by the City of Medina in the Hennepin County District Court.
