HomeMy Public PortalAbout18-2006-18 • SCANNED RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 18 RESOLUTION DECLARING OFFICIAL INTENT TO PURCHASE PROPERTY FOR FRASIER STREET PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle has determined that it is desirable to provide a paved city street to the houses along the gravel road known as Frazier Street; WHEREAS, the City currently does not own the property known as Frazier Street and would like to purchase the property described in Attachment A, which is incorporated herein and made a part hereof, in order to build and maintain a paved road on that location; WHEREAS, two appraisals have been completed of the properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that the City hereby declares its official intent to purchase the above described property for no more than the average of the two appraisals. The Board further delegates authority to sign all necessary documents to negotiate and effectuate this acquisition to the Mayor.
