A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT TO THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the City currently has a Street Department that performs many functions for the City,
including, but not limited to street repairs and maintenance, snow removal, leaf removal, tree care and
removal, and storm drain maintenance;
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to change the name of the Street Department to the
Department of Public Works to better reflect the numerous functions of the department.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE Common
Council hereby changes the name of the Greencastle Street Department to the Greencastle Department of
Public Works, pursuant to I.C. 36-4-9-4.
