AUTHORIZING RECYCLING AGREEMENT WITH
ZOZZARO BROS., INC.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of entering a new agreement for the
disposal of recyclable materials, including: sorted newspaper, mixed newspaper,
corrugated cardboard (OCC) and commingled bottles, cans, and plastics; and
WHEREAS, Zozzaro Bros., Inc., ("Zozzaro") 175 circle Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011 has
submitted a proposal to provide said recycling services; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has that the proposal from Zozzaro is the most advantageous,
consi~ering all relevant factors including price; and
WHEREAS, Zozzaro has extensive expertise in the field of recycling of the foregoing
commodities and related services and has demonstrated a proven reputation in the field.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the Mayor and appropriate Borough officials are hereby
authorized to execute and enter into a contract with Zozzaro Bros.,
Inc., for the disposal of the above described recycling
materials/commodities by the Borough of Carteret in a form
acceptable to the Borough Attomey.
2. That this contract is awarded without competitive bidding as so
authorized by the Local Public Contracts Law as a contract
covering the disposition of recyclable materials/commodities.
3. That a notice of this award shall be advertised as my be required
bylaw.
Adopted this 13th day of March, 2007
and certified as a true copy of the
original on March 14,2007.
