A RESOLUTION: WAIVING SPECIAL EVENT FEES FOR THE "BURG" FAMILY
REUNION CLUB'S JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION 2024
WHEREAS, the "Burg" Family Reunion Club has applied to hold the Juneteenth
Celebration 2024 at Ida Lee Park on June 15, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the benefit event has associated special event fees in the approximate
amount of $4,530; and
WHEREAS, the "Burg" Family Reunion Club has requested that the Town Council
waive the special event fees associated with the benefit event; and
WHEREAS, the "Burg" Family Reunion Club meets the criteria of the Town's Special
Event Fee Waiver Policy; and
WHEREAS, staff has advised that there are adequate funds available in the Fiscal Year
2024 Operating Budgetto cover the waived fees.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
1. The special event fees in the approximate amount of $4,530 associated with the
Juneteenth Celebration 2024 event scheduled for June 15, 2024 are hereby waived.
