COMMON COUNCIL 2:2641/CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING OF THE
GREENCASTLE/PUTNAM COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CENTER
FROM INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center, Inc., continues to play
a key role in assisting, retaining, and attracting new business and industry to the community; and
WHEREAS,a matching grant of Forty-thousand Dollars($40,000)from the interest earned
on the Industrial Development Fund is needed to fund the Greencastle/Putnam County Development
Center, Inc., for 2007, and the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center shall raise an
equivalent sum from other sources; and
WHEREAS,the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development approves and
recommends to the City of Greencastle Common Council through its Resolution No. 2007-2 an
expenditure of monies of Thirty-six Thousand,Five-hundred Dollars($36,500.00)for the year 2007
from the interest earned on the Industrial Development Fund, plus Three-thousand, Five-hundred
Dollars($3,500.00)for the travel fund to be used by the City of Greencastle and its designees for the
promotion of industrial development in the City of Greencastle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GREENCASTLE COMMON
COUNCIL approves the expenditure of$40,000.00 in industrial development fund monies.
