A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 2007-1 TO AMEND THE LIST OF
EQUIPMENT ELIGIBLE FOR TAX ABATEMENT GRANTED TO CHIYODA USA
CORPORATION
WHEREAS,Chiyoda USA Corporation was granted tax abatement on new equipment with
the passage of Resolution 2007-1 on January 9, 2007; and,
WHEREAS,Chiyoda USA was able to purchase the new equipment outlined in the original
tax abatement application for less than anticipated; and,
WHEREAS,Chiyoda USA now comes before the Common Council to amend the equipment
list to include a second major piece of equipment, a blow molding machine including ancillary
support equipment; and,
WHEREAS,the Common Council of the City of Greencastle passed Resolution 2006-30 on
December 12, 2006 and Resolution 2007-1 on January 9, 2007 and advertised a public hearing for
August 14, 2007 to consider the request.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, pursuant to the laws of the
State of Indiana, does now hereby find that Chiyoda USA's request to amend their equipment list
to be reasonable.
THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle recommends and approves
the request to amend the equipment list to include the following:
1. Blow Molding Machine.
2. Additional Equipment in Support of the Blow Molding Machine.
3. Equipment Foundation and Air, Water& Electrical Installation.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at a regular
meeting this 14th day of August, 2007.
