CREATING HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE FOR
11 CHROME AVENUE
WHEREAS, Dorothy Sosnowski of 11 Chrome Avenue has requested a
Handicapped Parking Space; and
WHEREAS, this individual has met the requirements of the Traffic Safety Bureau
for said parking space; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has inspected said location and has no
objection to the approval of said Handicapped Parking Space; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Mayor
and Council of the Borough of Carteret that the following Handicapped Parking
Space shall be designated;
11 Chrome Avenue

Dear Ms. Barney:
As requested, we have investigated the applicant's request for the designation of an on-
street handicapped parking space to be located on Chrome A venue along the property
frontage. The property in question provides one off-street parking space in the existing
driveway; however this driveway is a shared driveway with the adjoining property. This
driveway can not provide sufficient access. Furthermore, as required by NJSA title 39:4-
1975, the subject's application indicates the applicant has applied for a valid disabled
person identification card.
Therefore, since there are no physical or regulatory restnctIOns for designating a
handicapped parking space at this location, we have no objection to the Borough granting
the applicant's request for a designated handicapped parking space in front of 11 Chrome
Avenue, subject to the approval of the Borough's Traffic Safety Officer.
