RESOLUTION 2008 - 22
A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING ORDINANCE 2008-13, AN ORDINANCE FOR
APPROPRIATION AND TAX RATES
WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2008, IC 6-1.1-17-3.5 requires all civil taxing units
that will impose property taxes due and payable in the ensuing year to submit budget
information to the fiscal body of the county (council) for review;
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council held a Public Hearing and passed
Ordinance 2008-13, An Ordinance For Appropriation and Tax Rates on second reading
at its regular meeting September 9, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the Clerk Treasurer provided a copy of the proposed tax rate and
levy for the ensuing year and a copy of the civil taxing units proposed budget for the
ensuing year at least 15 days prior to September 25, 2008.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLOVED that the Greencastle Common Council
reaffirms Ordinance 2008-13, An Ordinance For Appropriation and Tax Rates.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle
on this 25th day of September 2008.
