Regular meeting August 8 1951
The meeting was called to order by Mayor y- ur tz at 8:10 P.M.
Those present wwwere:Burman,Burroughs,Robinson c Schulz. tiiamaier c Rood
absent.
The clerk read the minutes : f the Regular meeting of July 2 which were
approved as read.
The county had offered to seal coat the main street so the board decided
to have them put it on.An application for a 3.2 beer license from. the V
read.Schulz moved,Robinson seconaed:To grant the VFW Post a
3.2 BeerXlicense for one year. Motion carried.
It was suggested to hire Dude Rice a marshal on Sat. P .L. and Sun. all day.
It was left to the Police Comr..to make the anrangements.Proposed ordinance
for social security as read.Burroughs moved,Burman seconaed:To make an
agreement vv ith, the State of Colo. for Social Security coverage for the
employees under the Social Security system and give the ordinance No.109
(should nave been 1No. 110) and publish the same in the h.ult Puper.Lotion
Carried.
There was some discussion about the way the firemen 4 ere being paid.
Burroughs moved,Robinson seconded:That the sum of. 5`.00 per month be
paid the firemen and be included in tne 1952 buaget,and if possible
make it retroactive as of Sept.l,anu this motion superceeds all other
motions made before.Lotion carried.
The clerk was to see about the dizferent ways of heating the town hall
and also the dii'ferent costs and report bac' to the board at the Sept.
meeting.There had been two ways suggestea,one was by gas stoves and the
other was by overhead heaters.
