Oi The meeting as called to order by inayar �- ur t at 8 : L) Mayor l'aurtz stated, the reason for the meeting was to consider some plan for taking care of fire and police calls, on the new dial system, of the telephone. Burroughs, l{.00inson and good were present. Burman, Schulz and idmaier absent. Several members of the fire department and three men from the telephone 0o. were present. The Mayor asked the telephone men if they had any suggestions about how it could be handled. Mr. iiilson suggested to have an extension phone put in Licks creamery from the town hall. Both phones would not have a dial so that they could not be used, only for incoming calls and there number would be 4444. They also said they wouldput a gong outside the fire house door so that others could hear the call from the street, as this gong would be conn- ectea so as to sound when the either telephone would ring. The town would have to put in a siren switch at each place so that the siren could be turnea on from either place. If Dick should con- _ _tinue to sleep upstairs, they would put in an extension phone ana switch hook-up in his room. The Company are to put in an outdoor telephone booth with a ,ay station, and thought a good place for it would be just west of 'k bites cafe. Burroughs moved, Wood seconded: To accept the sugestion of the telephone coal .achy as to the install - ion of fire & police calls on a seperate telephone extendin to Dicks creamery. Lotion carried. The meeting was then ad jornea. c7°17776141 , Clerk )\✓ )14./ Regular Meeting March 4, 1952 Mayor Kurtz callen the meetin to order at 8:05, P. . Burman, Burroughs, Robinson, Schulz, 4inmaier and Wood were present. Minutes of regular sleeting of -Feb. 5 and Special meeting of Feb. 29th were read and approved as read. The clerk read the jorr espondence, and the receipts of the town. The clerk told of the "'treet light installed in the north end of town, near feberleins residence. Schulz moved, Burroughs seconded: To adopt the proposed Ordiance, amending Ordinance 8 in several different sections, and Give it ko.111 There was again some cisscussion on the police and fire calls, the installion, and how it was to be handled with dial telephones. It was deceided uon to make Dick Treibe an active fireman, and pay him for handling both incoming calls, and receive Lhe sane as all the firemen, which is 050.00 a year. Burman shoved, Robinson seconded: To grant Alberta Francisco a deed to Lott 8, .Blk 2, Sec. 14 in the Ault Cemetery. Motion carried. The buying of a new CO2 fire extinguisher for the fire department was discussed Cana tabled until the April meeting. The viuestion of whether the town should purchase a new Butane geed burner was discussed, ana also t_.bled until the April meeting. The purchasing of a Dump Truck for the town was brought up again, and also was tabled until ne April meeting, so as to clear up a few of the larger bills first. It was deceided upon to discuss the bill received from the County, further, with Carl Magnuson, the county 0ornrnisioner, as the :)oard feels parto of the cost pertaining to the repairing of main street, which is astate highway, should be paid by the State. Marion Wiamaier was appointed by the may or to contact Carl Magnuson, and look into the matter, a little further. The Clerk was asked to write for a book on the State's Plumbing Code. The finance Committee examined and approved these bills.
