RESOLUTION NO. 05 -4374
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY MODIFYING THE SEWER RECONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT
FEE FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN THE R -2, R -3
AND RPD ZONES OF THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Previously adopted sewer charges as set forth in Article VI, Chapter 2, Part II,
Sections 6210 -6222 of the Temple City Municipal Code are inadequate to cover anticipated costs of
scheduled essential sewer reconstruction projects; therefore the following interim development fee shall
be charged for each new multiple family residential development project in R -2, R -3 or RPD zoned
properties within the City. This fee shall supplant the sewer charges as previously established by formula
contained in Sections 6210 -6222 of the Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. Based upon anticipated costs for a currently scheduled sewer reconstruction project
to address an existing sewer deficiency within a previous moratorium area in the southwestern portion of
the City and based upon ongoing and upcoming expenses relative to replacing and upgrading the City's
sewer system, it is hereby determined that a sewer reconstruction development fee of Twenty -five
Thousand Dollars ($25,000) per multiple family project consisting of four (4) or more units or alternatively,
Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) per unit for smaller sized projects consisting of two (2) or
three (3) units in the project shall be enacted retroactively to July 1, 2002.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it
into the book of original resolutions.
