Mr. Maley said the lights spotItglating the trees on Collins Ave,aue

Astor electric, the firm that installed the original lights, The Council
instructed him to get two other bids.
The `tanager reported that the lights in the pnrking lot under
Baker's Hantover Bridge are still not hooked up, as the State has not re-
wired the lights on the bridge. It was roved by Mr. Davis:, seconded by
Mr. Logan and voted that we should go she-", ,and pull in nor nwn power and
hook up the lights.
There being no further business on motion of Mr. Taplin,seconded
by Mr. Logan the meeting was adjourned at 12:45 r,M.

On motion of Mr. Davis, seconder; by Mr. Taplin, and voted, the
minutes of the previous meeting of January 27, 1976 were approved as submitted.
The Council discussed the invoices rendered by ZurwelIr ittaker,Ino..
and Henry von Oesen for extra engineering services and out of pocket expenses
incrtared during the beach restoration work, which are provided for under the
contract., in the: amount. of $56,196,73 less the two payments already made.
Also discussed was the engineers' request for an additional $26,475.77 based
on 5.25: of total construction casts .tnstced of the $4,500,000 celing, :'nc

Mr. Maley told the Council that under the I.OLal Government Act of

municipality in Dade County not having a franchise with Florida Power an•1

it will mean a substantial loss of revenue to the Village. It was suggested
that Mr. Cold should monitor this case.

The Council of Bad fi.rbour Village met Tuesday,
9:30 A.M. in the V111age Hall.

On motion of Fr. Tapiin, seconded by Flr. Davis, the minutes of the
previous meeting of February 24, 1976 were approved as submitted.
Mr. Frazer Knight told the Council th::1 the plans for the renovation
of the Village mall were almost completed and requested permission to put
them out fnr bids. After discussion on financing and selection of an in-
terior designer, it was moved by Mr. Logan, seconded by Mr. Davis and voted
that the plans be approved and offered for bids to be opened at the next
Council meeting anti let, subject to .advice free the Village Attorney u: the
trouncing,
Mr. Gold informed the Council that he hnd reviewed the statement
submitted by the engineers on the beach restoration project and if they
Council is sntrsfied with the charges as outlined that they would be proper.

by Mr. Beatty and voted, the Village Manager was authorized to pny the sum
of $49,710.01 for the extra work performed. Any further payment against
the basic agreement will depend upon additional. documentation.
Mr. Gold said in his opinion the Village could reduce the Floor
Area Ratio inthe Zoning Code providing it is not done to be arbitrary or
confiscatory. Ordinance No. 132, providing for the establishing criteria
for building moratoria was read by title and on motion of Mr. Davis,
seconded by Mr. Beatty and voted, passed on firs' reading.
