meetings of libvember 17 and 22 which WSW were approved as read.
A delagation Of about 10 nen from the east Side Of town Were pr -es nt
and asked -if the board would not do some t _ii ng about the condition
of some lots over on .. their side •of town. They were both unsightly and
a fire hazard.The Mayor appointed Widmaier :.:..nu .Robinson to notify •
then e people to clean up the lots

The 1.ayor read a letter rom the highway i)ept. s tati ng that school
signs couyu only be used while the pupils were crossing the streets.
Wiamaier movei,Galloway seconded:Toadopt the propeseu budget for 1953
as of December 29 if there were no protest made.Motion carried.
Should the..: e be any protests hate there would be held another meeting
the last of December.
The clerk AqdS to write to Paul Bechthold that the. town would not hire
an engineer at present.
The quettion of discarding water meters was brought up and it was
decided that the wa-er shortage would not warrant such a change.
There was some discussion about the fire ae artment and the clerk was
instrictec to write the department,reciuesting a better attendance at
the meetings and also the fire runs..n .so the members are to be required
to attend ' at least 9 meeting per year or they will be dropped and
some one from a waiting list will be .put into their places.
The fire funds will only be paid to the number of members attending the
meetings.
It was decided to put : up the Christmas decorations
and to purchase more decorations.
