Members present were: Burroughs, Galloway, Robinson, and Wood. Burman and 4 idmaier absent. The acting clerk read the minutes of the regular June meeting and Special meeting of June ,S, which were approved as read. The receipts and disbursements of the town were read. Firemen Hotaling, Nelson and Clary were present to discuss problems of the fire department. l elson acting as chairman, wanted to know if the board would reconsider the buying of the hith aressure pump again. Also the committee asked, for two new Indian water extinguishers. 7 Clary discussed the changing of the rules and regulations set up by the firemen and torn .oaru. Uotaling also gave his veiws on the chang- ing of the rules of the firemen's meetings. Galloway Loved: Burroughs seconded: To refuse the sale of grater to Dan the water man at the present time because of the water shortage. tion Carried. There was a lot of disscussion on hiring a day marahall, and same of the ways to prevent same of the careless driving around town. ,good moved: Robinson seconded: To close trailer park, or .pump house park to all trailers and kept up as a town park only.. motion carried. Galloway moved: Wood seconded: To grant iyrs. Corwin, lot9, in section 13, block 3 in Ault cemetery and lfred Alonzo the S.L,. * lot of lot 11, in section 3, block 2 in the Ault cemetery. Lotion Carried. Galloway moved: no seconded: To authorize Sherman Moods C;60.00 per mon- th for car and gasoline, in addition to his regular salary. Galloway withdrew his motion until a later date in which time Sherra could look around and purchase a car for police duty. There was a complaint on the mexican dances being held in Ault. It was also tabled until a later date. The dip on the north end of 1st avenue was discussed and was to be left as constructed until special patroling of the streets could be organized and set up. The acting clerk read the minutes of the regular July meeting, which were approved as read. x A letter requesting new rules and regulations for the fire dept. was read by Mayor Kurtz anu town accepted rules ith the addition of the 150.00 rule in the general fund, to be amended to these rules. These rules were to be put in the minutes of the fire dept. and also to be accepted and put in minutes of town at the next regular meeting, pro- viding everyone agreed to carry out his part of the rules.
