AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 -22 OF THE
GREENCASTLE CITY CODE REGARDING THE SCHEDULE FOR NO
PARKING ZONES ON LOCUST STREET
WHEREAS, Section 8 -22 of the Greencastle City Code allows parking in No Parking Zones
on Sundays in certain areas near churches; and
WHEREAS, the Gobin United Methodist Church has requested that parking be extended in
the vicinity of the church.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that:
Section 8 -22 of the Greencastle City Code be amended, in part, regarding parking along
Locust Street, from:
"(Except on Sundays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. when parking is
permitted on both sides of Locust Street from Seminary Street to Anderson Street)"

to:
"(Except on Sundays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. when parking is
permitted on both sides of Locust Street from Poplar Street to Anderson Street)"
2. All other terms and conditions contained in Section 8 -22 of the Greencastle City Code
which are not inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common
Council and its approval by the Mayor.
