RESOLUTION NO. 05 -4387
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING HOLIDAYS FOR FISCAL YEAR
2006 -2007
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The holidays established for the City of Temple City for fiscal year 2006 -2007 are as
follows: _
Independence Day (Tuesday, July 4, 2006)
Labor Day (Monday, September 4, 2006)
Veteran's Day (Observed Friday, November 10, 2006)
Thanksgiving Day. (Thursday, November 23, 2006)
Day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 24, 2006)
Christmas Day (Monday, December 25, 2006)
New Years Day (Monday, January 1, 2007)
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, January 15, 2007)
Presidents' Day (Monday, February 19, 2007)
Memorial Day (Observed Monday, May 28, 2007), and
Two (2) floating holidays to be used as each employee chooses.
SECTION 2. While the City is on an open 9/80 work schedule, all permanent full -time employees
will be allotted the same number of holiday leave hours, i.e. holidays that fall on a Friday will be allotted as
eight -hour holidays, those falling on Monday through Thursday will allotted as nine -hour holidays.
SECTION 3. If a holiday observed by the City of Temple City falls on an employee's normal day off,
that employee will be allotted an eight (8) hour floating holiday which may be taken only during or after the
pay period of that holiday in the 2006 -2007 fiscal year.
SECTION 4. Employees that normally work an eight -hour day will be credited with one extra hour of
vacation leave for any holiday that falls on Monday through Thursday and would be a nine -hour holiday for
other employees.
SECTION 5. All floating holidays are to be taken by each employee as they choose, in compliance
with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations pertaining to use of vacation. Such holidays may not be
used or carried over into the next fiscal year starting July 1, 2007.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of November, 2005.

and adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the 15h day of
November, 2005, by the following vote:
