AUTHORIZING 2007 RECYCLING AGREEMENT
WITH ZOZZARO BROS., INC.
"'HEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of entering a new agreement [of the
disposal of recydable materials, including, sorted newspaper, mixed newspaper,
corrugated cardboard (OCC) and commingled bottles, cans, and plastics; and
WHEREAS,.Zozzaro Bros., Inc., ("Zozzaro") 175 circle Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011 has
submitted a proposal to prov~de said recycling ~ervices; and
'VHEREAS, the Borough.h.as that the proposal from Zozzaro is the most advantageous,
considering all relevant factors including price; and
'VHEREAS, Zozzaro has extensive expe11ise in the field of recycling of the foregoing
commodities and related services and ~las demonstrated a proven reputation in the field.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough ofCarteret as follows;
1. That the. Mayor and appropriate Borough officials are hereby
authorized to execute and enter into a contract with Zozzaro Bros"
Inc., for the disposal of the above described recycling
materials/commodities by the Borough of Carteret in a fOlm
acceptable to the jlorough Attomey.
2. That this contract is awarded without competitive bidding as so
authorized by the Local Public Contracts Law as a contract
covering the disposition of recyclable materials/commodities.
3. That a notice of this award shall be advertised as may be required
bylaw.
